Underground Street Artist from Berkeley, working on abstract displays of emotion.

Raised on the straight and narrow until 18, and then a chosen life of consequence.

In high school, he'd spend hours graffitiing on paper with pencil, intricate shading and details, then crumple it up and move on to the next. A mandala of sorts.

At 19, he did his first and last gallery showing, and sold art on Telegraph Avenue as a street vendor. Taking a hiatus from art to pursue his career as a Chef from 2018-2020, he returned to the art world as an urban legend establishing his first collections at the end of 2020, and beginning of 2021. 

Morphing his best original work from the first three years into Collection 1 - "Gaia", he shifted his focus toward abstract work studying color and form. 

As of recently, Bub1997 is based out of Berkeley CA, and has released his two latest bodies of work, Collection 7 - "Uncanny Perspective", and Collection 8 - "Social Suicide" alongside his first collections of NFTs.
